Basic Steps
- Put frozen shrimp in a pot of water
- On low heat, heat till water reaches 170F (76C)
- Rinse with cold water
You can eat as it is.
Over-cooking to 185F does not significantly impact the taste or texture.
Bonus Steps
- Peel shrimp
- Sear in pan for 5 seconds a side with: Salt, Black Pepper, White Pepper, Terragon Flakes
Failure Modes
- Under-cooking at about 165F makes a mushy texture and fishy aroma.
- Consider soaking for 2-3 minutes at 170F to be sure.
- Searing for 10 seconds will fix the issue.
